WayWORD is back for 2022 with our festival running predominantly in-person for the first time, from 20th-25th September 2022!
I am still delighted to be involved in both the creative and administrative parts of this festival. I filmed and will be editing an interview my friend and colleague Naomi Christie recorded with Micheal Pedersen, author of Boy Friends, I am chairing the Q&A of the Writers Showcase with Leopard Arts and Mearns Writers, and I’ve spent the past 6 months mentoring groups of students at Hazlehead Academy to host their own events in the school.
It is exciting to finally be meeting IRL for this year’s offering, and it means I will be spending the whole week on campus instead of in my living room! Tickets for every event are free and almost all are open to the public (with the exception of the Hazlehead events and events for children or charity partners).
